Gujarat Technological University (GTU) has signed an MoU with Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT IFSC), the country’s first International Financial Services Centre, to enhance industry-academia collaboration in IFSC education, fintech innovation, and research.
According to a media report, under the partnership, the two institutions will jointly create specialised courses, training programmes, certification modules, and a Centre of Excellence to explore opportunities in GIFT IFSC and emerging fintech trends.
Sanjay Kaul, managing director and group CEO of GIFT City, said, “We are witnessing significant traction from leading financial and tech entities to set-up their base in GIFT City.” He said that the collaboration will help towards creating a future-ready talent pool that can contribute meaningfully to the growth and strengthening India’s position in the global financial and tech ecosystem.
GTU V-C Rajul Gajjar said, “By combining GTU’s academic expertise with GIFT City’s industry leadership, we aim to offer students unmatched exposure to global financial markets and technologies.”
