Sunday morning brought another round of heavy rainfall across Gujarat, including in Ahmedabad. After a short break, the city saw a fresh downpour late Saturday night, affecting areas like Prahladnagar, Anandnagar, SG Highway, Shivranjani, Thaltej, Shela, Bopal, Isanpur, CTM, and Ghodasar.
According to a media report, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a red alert for six districts—Banaskantha, Patan, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Aravalli, and Kheda—for very heavy rainfall between 7 am and 10 am on Sunday. A yellow alert was issued for Devbhumi Dwarka, Porbandar, Gir Somnath, Amreli, Botad, and Bhavnagar, while Ahmedabad and other regions remain under an orange alert.
