New Tulip An international school in the city had approached HC.
The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) asked time on Thursday to respond to the Gujarat High Court’s decision to disaffiliate the New Tulip International School in Ahmedabad. The court had given time until March 17. Until then, children will not be moved to another school.
The CBSE announced the disaffiliation of the school following an inspection conducted in December, claiming irregularities. The school subsequently approached the HC and challenged the action through advocate Nikunt Raval, raising various issues about the compliance of the regulations laid down by the board.
Earlier, on February 27, the bench of Justice Nirzar Desai ordered the CBSE to not transfer the students of the higher secondary section while asking the board to file its reply. The order will continue to be in effect till the next hearing as the CBSE counsel informed the court that it will file its reply either on March 13 or 14.
