The cyber crime police arrested one Arpan Dwivedi from Bihar who allegedly made changes in the details of the voters ID of PM Modi, UP CM Yogi Aditya Nath and RIL CMD Mukesh Ambani through Voter Helpline application.
Sooraj Barot, living in Shrirang society in Science City area of Ahmedabad had filed a complaint at the cyber crime police station on July 24. He alleged that an unknown person made changes in the relation type section of the voters ID of PM Modi through Voters Helpline app on 1st July 2023. He also made changes in details of father in sub-option 4 under option 2 of the form. Cyber crime police collected the information of the accused including his mobile phone number and email ID.
They found that the suspect was located in Muzaffarnagar in Bihar. An investigation of the cyber crime police reached Bihar and nabbed Madankumar alias Arpan Dwivedi.
They found during the inquiry that the accused had also made changes in the details of the voters ID of UP CM Yogi Adityanath and Mukesh Amabani. The cyber crime police demanded a 5-day remand of the accused in the court. However, the additional chief metropolitan magistrate did not approve the remands and sent the accused to Judicial custody.
