The Members of the Kinnar community will soon volunteer for Gujarat Police’s CID Crime to help trace missing or trafficked children.
This initiative will not only greatly increase the networking capacity of Gujarat Police to trace missing children, but will also help in bridging the gap between the third gender and the mainstream society.
Members of the Navodaya Trust will be inducted as members of Friends for Women and Children (FFWC), a volunteer group of CID Crime that assists state forces as well as Anti-Human Trafficking Units (AHTUs) in tracing missing persons, trafficked persons, women and children in need of assistance. and taking children off the streets and into state care.
