Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel symbolically dedicated 151 new buses of the Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) on Monday in Gandhinagar by handing over keys to two of the buses’ drivers.
The buses, which included 40 sleeper coaches and 111 luxury coaches, cost Rs 53 crore.
According to a GSRTC official, the sleeper coaches are orange and red, while the luxury coaches are white and blue. According to an official release, the new buses will make people’s journeys more comfortable and convenient.
Harsh Sanghavi, Minister of State for Transport, Hitesh Makwana, Mayor of Gandhinagar, MK Das, Additional Chief Secretary (Transport), and MA Gandhi, Managing Director of GSRTC, were all present.
“The new buses of GSRTC are such that not a single drop spills if you are drinking tea in it,” Sanghavi said on the occasion. In these buses, jumpers, and sensors were used. These buses have such amenities that senior citizens do not experience a single jerk.”
