On February 25, the Karnavati Club in Ahmedabad will host a special programme called “Rakshak – Ek Shaam Gujarat Police Ke Naam” in honour of the Gujarat police. This groundbreaking occasion is being held to recognize the Gujarat police force’s commitment.
The event will feature a performance by the well-known Himachal Pradesh Police band “Harmony of the Pines” to cheer up the Gujarat police officers. The evening will be further enhanced by the presence of renowned performers and artists from the Bollywood and Gujarati film industries to honour the selfless efforts of the state police force.
To commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the special event is being organised by the Shri Sai Women and Children Welfare Trust, Sarjan—The Spark, and Karnavati Club. The Dinesh Chandra Agarwal group, the Gujarat State Song and Drama Academy, the Gujarat Government, and the Ministry of Culture and Sports all support the event.
Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will be the chief guest at the event. Other special guests include Gujarat Industry Minister Balwantsinh Rajput, Health Minister Rishikesh Patel, Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi, Member of Parliament (MP) Narhari Amin and other dignitaries.
Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) (Law and Order), IPS Narsimha Komar, additional police commissioner (sector-1), Ahmedabad, IPS Niraj Badgujar, Deputy Police Commissioner (Zone-7), IPS Bhagirathsinh Jadeja will remain present as part of the police committee of the event.
The programme has covered about 36 districts and 4 police commissionerates in Gujarat. At the event, police officers from each district and commissionerate will be felicitate for their excellent service and recognised for their efforts with medals and certificates.
