Music has healing powers! On Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show 5, the next gen musicians Jasmine Sandlas, Satinder Sartaaj, Shaswat Sachdev and Rishabh Rikhiram Sharma come together for a conversation that strikes all the right chords.
For Shaswat Sachdev, the journey to finding his music came with its own share of difficulties. Recalling how his parents helped him navigate those challenging times, Shaswat shares how they encouraged him to look at Kapil Sharma’s journey as an example of consistency and perseverance. Just as Kapil continued to show up for his audience, they reminded Shaswat of the importance of staying committed to his craft and trusting the process, even when the going got tough.
For Rishabh Rikhiram, music found its way into his life through an unexpected twist of fate. Growing up, his father, who crafted sitars for some of India’s musical maestros, was very particular about the instruments. Until the age of 12, Rishabh gravitated towards the guitar, finding it much cooler. But destiny had other plans. Recalling how a broken sitar changed the course of his life, Rishabh shares that the moment he finally got his hands on one, he was playing Sa Re Ga Ma within minutes. What began as an unexpected encounter soon became the starting point of a deeper connection with the sitar and his musical legacy.
Jasmine too opens up about her own love for music and her journey, sharing what the art form means to her and how it has shaped her path.
Tune in this weekend, to catch these heartfelt conversations on The Great Indian Kapil Show at 8:00PM, only on Netflix.
