An online video game inspired by activist Neha Bora’s attempts to reach Jantar Mantar has attracted attention amid the ongoing protests in Delhi. Titled ‘Bhaag Neha Bhaag’, the browser-based game turns the challenges faced by protesters into a fast-paced running game in which players must overcome obstacles to move forward.
Developed by Anav Nayar and his brother Akshay, the game follows a runner-style format. Players control a character attempting to navigate through barricades, police personnel and vehicles while collecting items marked with the letter ‘D’, representing democracy. The gameplay draws on elements familiar from popular titles such as Subway Surfers and Super Mario, along with inspiration from the film Run Lola Run.
The game takes its name and central idea from Neha Bora’s reported attempts to reach Jantar Mantar during the protests. Its launch has brought an unusual digital dimension to the demonstrations, with the developers translating a politically charged situation into an interactive experience. The game is independently developed and is not an official government or police product.
