GSFC University has further strengthened its focus on technology, innovation and industry-oriented learning with the establishment of an IEEE Student Branch on its campus. The branch, approved by IEEE, a global non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing technology and innovation, was formally inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Anil K. Roy, President, IEEE Sensors Council 2026–27.The establishment of the IEEE Student Branch marks an important milestone in the university’s efforts to provide students with greater opportunities for technical learning, research and professional engagement. Through the branch, students will be able to explore emerging technologies, participate in technical and research-oriented activities, collaborate across disciplines, and engage with professionals and student communities from the global IEEE network.
The IEEE Student Branch is expected to provide a platform for students to organise and participate in technical talks, workshops, seminars, competitions, projects and other knowledge-sharing activities. It will also facilitate interaction with experts and peers working across diverse technology domains, enabling students to gain exposure to developments beyond the classroom.
