Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma and his wife Ritika Sajdeh visited Mumbai’s iconic Lalbaugcha Raja on Sunday to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha during the ongoing Ganeshotsav celebrations. The couple’s visit drew considerable attention at the popular pandal, with devotees and fans gathering to catch a glimpse of the star batter.
Rohit and Ritika were seen offering prayers in front of the Lalbaugcha Raja idol amid the large gathering. Videos from the visit showed the former India captain folding his hands before the deity, while enthusiastic fans chanted “Rohit, Rohit” as he made his way through the pandal. The couple was also seen posing for photographs during the visit.
The visit comes ahead of Rohit’s return to India’s ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against the West Indies, beginning on September 27. Rohit has been named in India’s squad for the series as the team builds towards the 2027 ODI World Cup.
The 2026 edition of Lalbaugcha Raja Ganeshotsav is being celebrated from September 14 to September 25, with the iconic Mumbai idol drawing large numbers of devotees throughout the festival. The mandal is marking its 93rd year this year.
