The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has suspended the food licences of a Blinkit quick-commerce hub in Akola and two eateries in Mumbai following surprise inspections that uncovered serious hygiene violations.
Officials said the inspections found cockroach infestation, dirty drainage systems, improper food storage and other food safety lapses.
FDA teams inspected Delhi Sweet and Bhelpuri House in Malad, Gulzar Mohammadi Hotel in Kurla West and a Blinkit centre in Akola.
The action was taken after the establishments were found violating food safety and hygiene standards.
