The admission deadline for Diploma Engineering, Degree Engineering, ME, MBA and MCA courses has been extended by one month following a Supreme Court order.
The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has revised its academic calendar and extended the last date for completing the admission process from August 14 to September 14. The extension will give students more time to secure admission.
Additional admission round possible in Gujarat
In Gujarat, the ACPC and ACPDC had completed the common admission rounds for Diploma, Degree Engineering, ME, MBA and MCA courses, with the process ending on August 14.
Following the AICTE extension, ACPC and ACPDC may conduct an additional round, likely offline, for vacant seats in government and grant-in-aid colleges. This could provide another opportunity for students who have not yet secured admission.
Changes in fee refund and academic session dates
The deadline for cancelling admission and receiving a full fee refund has also been extended from July 20 to July 31.
Meanwhile, the start of the new academic session has been shifted from August 1 to August 17.
D2D admission deadline extended
The deadline for Diploma-to-Degree (D2D) lateral entry admissions has also been extended from August 14 to September 14.
The revised schedule is expected to benefit thousands of technical education students across Gujarat and other states.
