Kalorex Future School, Ghatlodia celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, bringing together students, teachers, parents and school leadership to honour the nation and remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters.
The celebration was graced by Chief Guest PSI Ms Ankita Shah of Ghatlodia Police Station, Ahmedabad. The school was also honoured to have Ms Arti Mishra, Director of Academics, Kalorex Group, among the distinguished guests. The programme commenced with the unfurling of the National Flag, followed by ‘Vande Mataram’, the Flag Song and the National Anthem.
The school council members presented a disciplined March Past, reflecting leadership and responsibility. The programme also featured an inspiring address by the Chief Guest, an address by Ms Arti Mishra and a speech by Head Boy Devendra Sharma of Grade 10-C.
Adding vibrancy to the celebration were patriotic performances by the pre-primary students and learners of Grades 1 and 2, along with a self-defence demonstration and a patriotic presentation by Grade 9 students.
Inter-House competitions added to the patriotic spirit, with 52 students participating in an Independence-themed Art & Craft Activity and 20 students from Grades 6 to 8 taking part in Poster Making. A Rakhi Celebration for 32 students of Grades 3 to 8 also added a creative touch to the festivities.
The celebration concluded with the distribution of more than 150 Tulsi plants among parents and students, encouraging them to nurture greenery and contribute towards a healthier environment.
