Ahead of Janmashtami celebrations, the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation (UPSTDC) has launched the ‘Krishna Leela’ Tour Package, making spiritual travel more convenient and affordable for devotees. The three-day, two-night journey connects the sacred towns of Mathura, Vrindavan, Gokul and Barsana, offering travellers a well-curated pilgrimage experience across the heart of Braj. The tour will depart from Lucknow at 8:00 a.m.
Highlighting the initiative, Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said, “The ‘Krishna Leela’ Tour Package reflects the vision of the ‘Visit My State Uttar Pradesh’ campaign by encouraging people to explore the state’s rich spiritual heritage. The initiative will further strengthen the Krishna-Braj Circuit while making pilgrimage tourism more accessible for devotees”.
He further added, “With over 10.24 crore tourists visiting Mathura in 2025, more than 4.4 million visitors attending Braj Rangotsav 2025, and nearly 1.90 crore tourists in the first three months of 2026, Braj continues to emerge as one of the country’s most sought-after spiritual tourism destinations.”
Designed for families and small groups, the package offers travel in air-conditioned Sedan and Crysta vehicles, with a minimum of two persons required. The Sedan package is priced at ₹10,400 per person, while the Crysta package is priced at ₹10,150 per person, making the curated Buddhist Circuit experience convenient for small groups.
The package includes accommodation, breakfast, light refreshments, high tea, guided sightseeing, local transfers and support services, allowing travellers to enjoy a hassle-free journey. Lunch and dinner will be payable separately.
During the three-day itinerary, visitors will explore some of Braj’s most revered temples and cultural landmarks. The first day covers Banke Bihari Temple, Rang Ji Temple, Nidhivan, Vaishno Devi Temple and Akshaya Patra Temple in Vrindavan. On the second day, the tour continues through Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadheesh Temple, Vishram Ghat, Bhuteshwar Temple and Govardhan in Mathura. The final day includes Radha Rani Temple in Barsana, ISKCON Temple and Shri Radha Damodar Temple, before returning to Lucknow.
