The Gujarat University administration is facing criticism after failing to declare the results of the Junior and Senior Clerk main examination even three months after it was conducted. Candidates have expressed anger over the delay, questioning why the university has not released the results despite the exam being completed months ago.
The university had conducted the preliminary examination on March 15, 2026, using an MCQ-based OMR system for recruitment to various clerk posts. Despite lakhs of candidates appearing for the test, the preliminary results were declared within 23 days, on April 8, 2026. The main examination was then held on April 30, 2026.
However, candidates say there has been no update on the main examination results, even though more than three months have passed. Unlike the preliminary test, the number of candidates in the main examination was significantly lower, and it too was conducted using the same MCQ-based OMR format. The prolonged delay has raised concerns over the transparency and efficiency of the recruitment process.
Candidates argue that if the university could process and declare preliminary results involving lakhs of applicants within 23 days, there is little explanation for why the main examination results are still pending after three months. The delay has sparked fresh questions over the functioning of the university administration and the pace of the recruitment process.
