A new Regional Transport Office (RTO) building was inaugurated in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, with all RTO-related services set to be shifted to the new premises in phases. Alongside the inauguration, authorities also unveiled a new AI-based driving test track aimed at making licence testing more transparent and efficient.
The new office is fully air-conditioned and has been designed to improve citizen convenience. Departments have been systematically distributed across three floors to ensure smooth movement of applicants and reduce congestion during peak hours. The facility also includes separate driving test tracks and ample vehicle parking.
A total of 17 departments have been organised across the three floors, allowing applicants to access services more efficiently. While some systems are already operational, the remaining infrastructure and digital services will be activated gradually in the coming days.
Officials said the modern facility and AI-enabled driving test system will help reduce waiting time, streamline administrative processes and enhance the overall experience for citizens visiting the Ahmedabad RTO.
