Heavy rain over the past two days caused severe waterlogging in several low-lying areas of Jamnagar district, including Kalavad taluka, leading to a rescue operation at a primary school.
Rainwater entered the primary school in Bhavabhi Khijadiya village, leaving students stranded inside the building. After receiving information, local villagers and village Sarpanch Rajdeepsinh Jadeja rushed to the school and safely evacuated the children through the flooded area.A video of the rescue has gone viral on social media, showing villagers and the sarpanch carrying and guiding students through the water to safety.
Fortunately, all the children were rescued safely, and no injuries or casualties were reported.Authorities have advised residents in low-lying areas and school authorities to stay alert and take necessary precautions as heavy rainfall continues across the region.
