The City District Education Officer (DEO) has imposed a 10,000 fine on Anand Niketan School in Shilaj for not displaying its approved fee order on the school’s notice board and website, as required under the Gujarat Self-Financed Schools (Fee Regulation) Rules, 2017.
The penalty was imposed after a hearing held on June 29. The Fee Regulatory Committee (FRC) found that the school had violated Rule 7.6, which makes it mandatory for self-financed schools to display the committee-approved fee order for the current academic year on both the notice board and the official website.
The committee said the school had failed to follow the government’s directions and imposed a ₹10,000 fine, noting that it was the first such violation by the school.
The school has been directed to deposit the fine in the government treasury within two days. It has also been asked to immediately display the approved fee order on its notice board and website and submit photographic proof of compliance.
