The Railway Board has approved key operational changes for the Okha–Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express (Train Nos. 22925/22926), including a change in its terminal station, revised timings and an additional stoppage within Ahmedabad.
Under the revised arrangement, the Vande Bharat Express will no longer originate from and terminate at Ahmedabad’s Kalupur railway station. Instead, the train will begin and end its journey at Sabarmati Junction.
To improve accessibility for passengers in western parts of the city, Ambli Road railway station has been introduced as a new stoppage on the route. The train will halt at the station for two minutes in both directions.
Railway officials said the addition of Ambli Road, along with existing connectivity through Sanand, is expected to provide greater convenience to passengers from western Ahmedabad and nearby areas. The revised schedule is aimed at enhancing last-mile connectivity and improving access to the Vande Bharat service for a larger section of commuters.
The changes are expected to benefit residents of western Ahmedabad, Sanand and surrounding regions by reducing travel time to boarding points and making the premium rail service more accessible.
