To ensure swift response to rain-related emergencies during the monsoon season, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has activated dedicated Monsoon-2026 control rooms across all city zones. The round-the-clock facilities will handle complaints related to waterlogging, fallen trees, drainage and sewerage issues, fire incidents and other civic emergencies.
The central Monsoon Control Room has been set up at Sanskar Kendra in Paldi and can be reached on 9099010718, 9099035920, 079-26582520 and 079-26582530. Citizens can also register complaints via WhatsApp at 9978355303.
Separate control rooms have been established in all AMC zones, including Central, West, North-West, South-West, East, South and North Zones, with dedicated telephone and WhatsApp helplines to provide immediate assistance during heavy rains and emergency situations.
In addition to civic services, AMC’s Garden Department has activated special control rooms to deal with incidents such as fallen trees and damage to public gardens during the monsoon. These facilities have been set up in all major zones of the city and will function in coordination with emergency response teams.
The civic body has also kept other emergency services on alert. The Fire Brigade Control Room near Tagore Hall, Paldi, can be contacted through emergency numbers 101 and 102, as well as its dedicated landline helplines. Additional control rooms for sewage treatment and riverfront-related emergencies have also been activated.
AMC has appealed to citizens to contact their respective zonal control rooms for assistance related to flooding, drainage blockages, fallen trees, sewerage problems or any other civic-service issue during the rainy season. The corporation said all departments have been placed on high alert to minimise disruptions and ensure prompt support to residents across Ahmedabad throughout the monsoon.
