A group of young women from Ahmedabad, including Dhwani Balani, Bansi Patel, Vishwa Kaneria, Vishwa Kakadiya and Prachi Jaysing, successfully scaled the 17,350-foot Mount Friendship in the Pir Panjal range of the Himalayas as part of an all-women expedition.
The challenging climb tested the team’s endurance with low oxygen levels, unpredictable weather conditions and rugged terrain. The 12-member expedition was led by Everest summiteer Nisha Kumari and also included Ramya Chiluvuri, Prachi Agarwal, Sneha Chal, Divya Rathva, Avni Bhatt and Anvi.
The expedition was organised and sponsored by Invincible NGO and carried the message, “Climbing Higher – For Adventure, For a Gujarat Against Drugs.” Through the initiative, the team aimed to encourage sports and adventure activities as healthy alternatives to substance abuse among youth.
