The Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) on Wednesday withdrew its non-cooperation directive against actor Ranveer Singh in connection with the ongoing controversy surrounding Don 3.
The decision comes a week after Singh moved court against the film body following the announcement of the directive at a press conference held in Mumbai.
FWICE also stated that it would formally respond to the actor’s legal notice through appropriate legal channels. “We will respond to the legal notice in a legal manner,” federation members said while addressing the media on June 3.
Speaking at the press conference, FWICE president B.N. Tiwari said the decision to revoke the directive was taken after receiving requests from several industry organisations, including the Cine and TV Artistes Association (CINTAA) and the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association.
The withdrawal is expected to ease tensions surrounding the Don 3 dispute and pave the way for further discussions between the concerned parties.
