A disagreement over children playing cricket inside a residential society in Ahmedabad’s Nava Naroda area escalated into a heated confrontation after a woman allegedly attacked a security guard with a cricket bat.
According to police, the incident began when the security guard objected to children playing cricket within the society premises. During the argument, the guard allegedly threatened the children and reportedly attempted to assault some of them, leading to outrage among residents.
The situation intensified when a woman resident confronted the guard over his behaviour. During the ensuing altercation, she allegedly picked up a cricket bat and struck the security guard, triggering chaos within the society.
As the dispute escalated, other residents gathered at the scene and attempted to calm both sides to prevent further violence.
Following information about the incident, personnel from Krishnanagar Police Station rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. Police spoke with both parties and initiated efforts to resolve the matter.
Krishnanagar Police Inspector V. H. Joshi said no FIR had been registered as both sides agreed to settle the issue amicably.
Police officials stated that the dispute was resolved through mutual understanding, and neither party chose to file a formal complaint.
