CA Shivam Bhavsar has been unanimously elected president of the Income Tax Bar Association for the activity year 2026–27, becoming the youngest president in the association’s 79-year history. The election took place during the 79th Annual General Meeting held in Ahmedabad.
At 29, Bhavsar’s appointment is being viewed as a reflection of the growing involvement of young professionals in the association’s leadership. Members said the new team is expected to focus on increasing member participation, introducing new initiatives and strengthening the association’s activities.
“My focus will be on making the association more active, accessible and useful for all members. I look forward to working closely with the office bearers, committee members and President Emeritus Adv. Dhiresh T. Shah,” Bhavsar said.
Along with Bhavsar, Adv. Dhiresh T. Shah has been elected president emeritus, CA Kenan Satyawadi as vice president, CA Madhurya Trivedi as honorary secretary, CA Suvrat Shah as honorary joint secretary, and CA Raghav Thakkar as honorary treasurer.
