The Gujarat State Examination Board has rescheduled the Assistant Education Inspectors Aptitude Test (AEIAT) for candidates seeking recruitment as assistant education inspectors. The examination, which was earlier scheduled for June 7, will now be held on June 13.
The decision was taken after it was found that the Gujarat Public Service Commission (GPSC) had also scheduled its Class 1 and Class 2 examinations on the same day.
Several candidates who had registered for both exams raised concerns that they would not be able to appear for both tests due to the date clash. Considering the representations made by candidates and keeping their future prospects in mind, the board decided to postpone the AEIAT main examination by one week.
An official notification regarding the revised examination date has been issued and circulated among the concerned authorities.
Earlier, the board had declared the results of the AEIAT aptitude test conducted for direct recruitment. Following this, the process of shortlisting candidates for the main examination was completed according to the prescribed rules and regulations. A merit list of eligible candidates was released on May 7.
The board has advised all eligible candidates to continue their preparations according to the revised schedule and regularly check the official website for updates regarding examination centres, hall tickets and further notifications.
