Deesa, May 22, 2026 — The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) has launched a new AC Volvo bus service aimed at enhancing connectivity between North and South Gujarat. This initiative promises a more comfortable travel experience for passengers.
The service will operate daily with the bus departing Deesa at 12:30 PM and returning from Surat at 6:00 AM. It’ll make stops at several key locations along the route, including Palanpur, Siddhpur Bypass, Unjha, Mehsana, Modhera, Ranip, Ahmedabad’s CTM area, Vadodara, Ankleshwar GIDC before reaching Surat.
This new fleet features a seating capacity of 47 passengers, equipped with 2×2 leather pushback seats that promise added comfort. Onboard amenities include mobile charging facilities and LED television screens to enhance the travel experience.
To prioritize passenger safety, each bus comes with advanced features like CCTV cameras and a fire safety sprinkler system. Smoke detector alarms are installed as well as hatches fitted with exhaust fans and an emergency exit door.
This investment in public transport is expected to significantly improve intercity travel infrastructure in North Gujarat while offering commuters a modern option that emphasizes both comfort and safety.
