The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) on Tuesday announced a new non-stop Volvo AC bus service between Ahmedabad and Surat via the newly opened Vadodara–Surat stretch of the Delhi–Mumbai Expressway.
The service aims to enhance connectivity between the two cities while reducing travel time and costs for passengers.
The buses will operate between Nehrunagar in Ahmedabad and Surat, departing from Nehrunagar at 6:45 am and from Surat at 1 pm.
According to GSRTC, the fare for the Nehrunagar–Surat route has been fixed at Rs 687, enabling passengers to save nearly Rs 61 compared to existing travel options.
Passengers can make advance online bookings through the official GSRTC website and mobile application.
The transport corporation said the initiative is part of its efforts to strengthen inter-city public transport using newly developed highway infrastructure and offer faster, more convenient travel services.
