A customer allegedly discovered a dead cockroach in a pizza served at the Taranovas Pizza outlet in Gandhinagar’s Kudasan area, raising concerns over food hygiene and safety standards at the restaurant. A video purportedly showing the insect inside the pizza has gone viral on social media, triggering criticism and calls for action against the outlet.
According to available information, a local family had visited the restaurant over the weekend for dinner. The outlet was reportedly offering a “Buy One Get One Free” scheme at the time. The family ordered pizza and had already consumed a few bites when they allegedly noticed a cockroach lodged between the cheese and sauce on one of the slices.
The family reportedly expressed shock over the incident and immediately informed the restaurant staff and manager, objecting to the alleged lapse in food safety.
One of the customers also recorded a video of the pizza on a mobile phone. The footage, which has since circulated widely online, appears to show the insect inside the pizza slice.
Following the viral video, several citizens have demanded immediate action against the outlet and urged authorities to investigate the matter and take appropriate measures if violations are confirmed.
