Operations at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport will be partially affected on May 6 as one of its runways will be temporarily shut for scheduled maintenance.
As per an official advisory, runway 05/23 will remain closed from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm to carry out pre-monsoon maintenance and repair work. This is part of routine safety checks to ensure smooth operations during the upcoming monsoon season.
Airport authorities said the maintenance is necessary to maintain safety and operational efficiency.
During this period, some flight schedules may be adjusted, and passengers are advised to check with their airlines for the latest updates.
