Panchmahal, May 1, 2026 — A new multi-level parking facility has officially opened at Manchi, providing much-needed relief to pilgrims visiting the Pavagadh hill shrine. The project, a collaboration between the Gujarat government and the Pavagadh Mahakali Temple Trust, can accommodate up to 500 cars.
This development addresses long-standing issues of congestion and parking shortages that have plagued visitors for years. Prior to this construction, many devotees arriving in private vehicles faced frustrating delays due to limited parking options. Now, with this new infrastructure in place, officials expect smoother traffic flow and improved access to the temple.
The inauguration ceremony was led by Vinodbhai Variya, a trustee of the temple trust. During the event, he highlighted how essential this facility is for enhancing visitor convenience. “This will change how people experience their visit,” he noted.
Devotees are enthusiastic about the upgrade. They believe having safer and easier parking will lead to a more pleasant darshan experience. With an estimated lakhs of visitors each year, this enhancement is a significant step towards making Pavagadh a more accessible religious tourism destination.
Moreover, this project aligns with ongoing efforts to develop Pavagadh as a premier site for pilgrims from all over India.
