The National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed medical colleges not to grant leave to students on May 2 and 3 to ensure the NEET-UG entrance exam is conducted fairly.State medical colleges are yet to issue detailed instructions on activities for those days.
Sources said the step is aimed at preventing any possible involvement of current medical students in malpractice.“Saturday is usually a half-day and Sunday a holiday, when students often travel home or take time off.
Under this directive, colleges may engage UG and PG students in academic or other activities,” a source said.
