Maninagar Police have created a dedicated WhatsApp group for senior citizens in their jurisdiction to enable direct communication and faster coordination.
The initiative connects a large number of elderly residents with police officials, surveillance staff and the She Team.
Maninagar PI JP Jadeja said the group has been kept open to ensure continuous, real-time interaction between police personnel and senior citizens. Through the platform, elderly residents can report legal, social, physical or personal issues and seek quick assistance.
Police are also using the group to share alerts, safety tips and important updates.
