Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre has announced the launch of its upcoming 375-bed multi super-speciality hospital at GIFT City in Gandhinagar, marking a major expansion into Gujarat with an investment of ₹700 crore. While the facility is expected to be fully operational by March 2027, its Outpatient Department (OPD) has already begun functioning.Director Prashant Mehta said the institution’s priority is to ensure accessible, high-quality healthcare for all as it expands into the state, emphasising a commitment to inclusive and community-focused medical services.As part of its launch initiatives, the hospital is conducting a free month-long medical check-up camp from April 20 to May 20, between 10 am and 2 pm. The camp aims to support underprivileged sections of society and includes comprehensive health screenings and doctor consultations.According to Dr Ravindra Karanjekar, the 375-bed facility will be developed in three phases—120 beds by July 2026, expanding to 275 beds by November 2026, and reaching full capacity by March 2027.The hospital will feature seven advanced operation theatres, modern medical equipment, and a workforce of around 1,500 healthcare professionals, including 120 full-time and 100 part-time doctors.
