Panic has spread across Adarshnagar, Vijaynagar, and Pragatinagar as repeated monkey attacks over the past four days have left several residents injured and fearful.Between Monday and Tuesday alone, four to five people were reportedly bitten, raising serious safety concerns, particularly for children and elderly residents. “People are scared to step out.
The monkey suddenly attacks and runs away,” said a local resident.Residents alleged that despite multiple complaints, the Forest Department did not respond promptly, forcing them to raise the issue in the public interest. However, a rescue operation was initiated on Tuesday.
Sources said one monkey has been captured so far, while teams continue to search for two others suspected to be involved in the attacks.
Officials have also placed cages at multiple locations in the affected areas in an effort to safely trap the animals.
