In a major academic achievement, 36 meritorious students from Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology have been selected for the ‘Early Induction Programme’ at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Under this programme, the selected students can get direct admission into M.Tech after completing their B.Tech, without appearing for any entrance exam. They will also be exempt from the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, which is usually required for postgraduate engineering admissions.
The programme is designed to identify talented and research-focused students early and give them opportunities in advanced research and innovation.
As part of the initiative, these students will spend their final year of B.Tech at IIT Bombay, where they will get access to modern laboratories, experienced faculty and a strong research environment.
