The admission process for degree and diploma pharmacy courses in Gujarat begins on April 6, as announced by the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) under the Directorate of Technical Education.
The state-wide process will be conducted online and includes registration, merit list declaration, mock rounds, and multiple phases of seat allotment to ensure a smooth and time-bound admission cycle.
As per the schedule, awareness programmes for undergraduate admissions will be held from April 11 to June 7. The last date for online registration and fee payment is June 15. The provisional merit list, based on GUJCET scores, will be released on June 22, followed by choice filling and mock rounds. The first round of seat allotment will begin on July 2, and the academic session is set to start from August 1.
For degree pharmacy courses, a total of 9,970 seats are available. Last year, 8,102 seats were filled, indicating strong demand, though some seats remained vacant. Diploma pharmacy courses saw lower occupancy, with 1,382 out of 2,350 seats filled across 38 institutes. The number of institutes and seats remains unchanged this year.
As per eligibility rules, 95% of seats in government and grant-in-aid colleges, along with 50% seats in unaided institutions, are reserved for students who have studied in Gujarat and appeared for GUJCET-2026. The remaining 5% seats in government and grant-in-aid colleges are open to candidates from across India who have appeared for NEET-2026 or JEE (Main) 2026. For Centres of Excellence, candidates must have studied in Gujarat and qualified in the relevant entrance exam.
