Amid fluctuating weather conditions in Gujarat, fresh concerns have emerged for farmers and residents. The weather department has forecast unseasonal rainfall in several parts of the state on April 7 due to the impact of a western disturbance. Coastal areas may also experience strong winds.
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), districts likely to receive rain include Devbhumi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Rajkot, Morbi, Kutch, Banaskantha, Sabarkantha, Patan, Dahod, Panchmahal, Aravalli, and Mahisagar.With wind speeds expected to increase over the sea, fishermen have been advised to avoid venturing out on April 6 and 7.
Alerts have also been issued for port regions as a precaution.At present, cities like Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar are witnessing normal temperatures of around 35°C.
Due to cloud cover and rain, temperatures are not expected to rise significantly over the next two days. However, heat is likely to intensify again from April 8, especially during the second week of the month.The changing weather and unseasonal rain forecast have raised worries among farmers about possible crop damage.
Authorities have advised them to store harvested produce safely to avoid losses.
