Vadodara Railway Station has just taken a giant leap towards passenger comfort with the opening of Gujarat’s first and the nation’s second ‘Digital Lounge.’ The facility was inaugurated on March 28, 2026, by Hemang Joshi, the local Member of Parliament.
This lounge is modeled after the one that debuted at Mumbai Central station in December 2025. It offers an array of amenities to travelers at competitive rates. For ₹200 per hour, passengers can enjoy a fully air-conditioned environment, complete with comfortable seating, free WiFi, television access, and complimentary tea and coffee.
Those looking for a place to rest can opt for a bed priced at ₹700 for two hours. This package includes a welcome drink and bottled water. Additionally, if secure storage is needed, digital lockers are available for just ₹100 per hour.
For business travelers or small meetings, a conference room accommodating six people can be booked for ₹1,680 over three hours. This space comes equipped with WiFi and television facilities—ideal for presentations.
DRM Raju Bhadke highlighted that Vadodara is an industrial hub crucial for business travel. He believes this lounge will significantly enhance the experience of those arriving on premium trains like Vande Bharat Express during off-peak hours. MP Joshi echoed similar sentiments about advancing India’s infrastructure.
The MLA Keyur Rokadiya added that this facility aims to provide an airport-like experience right at the railway station. There are plans for further upgrades in Ahmedabad’s connectivity with bullet trains and dedicated cargo handling facilities.
The lounge itself boasts seating capacity exceeding 40 individuals at once and includes shower and washroom facilities to ensure maximum convenience.
