New Delhi: To manage the increasing demand among passengers, Western Railway has announced an extension of several special train services passing through Gujarat. This move is designed to accommodate the additional rush expected in the coming months.
According to Vineet Abhishek, the Chief Public Relations Officer of Western Railway, multiple routes will see their train services extended. Notably:
- Dadar–Bhusaval Weekly Specials: Both Train No. 09049 (Dadar to Bhusaval) and Train No. 09050 (Bhusaval to Dadar) will now operate until July 31, 2026.
- Dadar–Bhusaval Tri-weekly Specials: Train No. 09051 and Train No. 09052 have been extended until July 29, 2026.
- Surat–Mangaluru Bi-weekly Specials: This service will continue with Train No. 09057 running until May 31 and Train No. 09058 until June 1, both in 2026.
- Vadodara–Gorakhpur Weekly Specials: Train No. 09111 is extended till July 27 while its counterpart, Train No. 09112, extends to July 29.
- Vadodara–Mau Weekly Specials: These trains are set to run until July 25 and July 26, respectively.
- Ahmedabad–Mangaluru Weekly Specials: Operating until May 29 and May 30, these trains provide important connectivity for travelers.
- Indore–Khadki Weekly Specials: With extensions till July 29 for one direction and till July 30 for the return trip.
The booking process for these extended trips starts on March 26 for some services and March 27 for others at all PRS counters as well as through the IRCTC website.
