A 38-year-old teacher, a divorcee, on Monday lodged a complaint alleging sexual exploitation by a former student, who she claims promised marriage but later backed out after maintaining a physical relationship with her for over two years.
In her complaint, the teacher stated that the student—whom she had taught in Class 10 nearly 12 years ago—reconnected with her via Facebook a few years ago. Over time, their interaction grew through phone conversations, during which he expressed that he had harboured feelings for her since his school days. He later began visiting her residence and proposed marriage. Trusting his assurances, she entered into a physical relationship with him.
However, she alleged that he recently informed her of his decision to marry another woman and asked her to stop contacting him.
Gandhigram PSI A.B. Chavda confirmed that a complaint has been registered at the Gandhigram Police Station in Rajkot, and further investigation is underway.
