The Railway Board has taken a significant step by approving the regularization of the special train service between Ahmedabad and Patna. The newly designated 21905/21906 Ahmedabad-Patna Amrit Bharat Express marks the first Amrit Bharat service originating from Ahmedabad.
This weekly train will depart from Ahmedabad every Wednesday at 6:30 PM, reaching Patna by 12:30 AM on Friday. For those traveling in the opposite direction, the return train will leave Patna at 10:30 PM on Friday and arrive back in Ahmedabad at 5:25 AM on Sunday.
The Amrit Bharat Express will have multiple stops along its route, including Anand, Godhra, Ratlam, Kota, and Agra, among others. This means passengers will have several convenient options for boarding and alighting.
According to railway officials, maintenance for this service will primarily take place in Ahmedabad. Additionally, watering arrangements are set up at key stations such as Ratlam and Kota.
The authorities aim to roll out this new train service as soon as possible. They plan to promote it widely so that potential travelers are aware of the benefits. In fact, there might be an inaugural run before it officially becomes part of the regular schedule.
