Students from the management program at LJ University are stepping out of traditional classrooms and into the entrepreneurial arena during their Start-up Week. Six innovative student ventures will compete for top honors, alongside the chance to earn maximum marks in their entrepreneurship course.
These six ventures—Fasal Care, Livora Juices, Bicon, Velora, Nexora, and Blue Blush—were selected through a start-up competition tailored for second-semester MBA students. Each venture tackles unique market needs: Fasal Care offers an agri-support application; Livora Juices promotes healthy beverages; Bicon is focused on education; Velora presents menstrual care gifting boxes; Nexora specializes in biking shoe protectors; and Blue Blush enters the fragrance market.
The entrepreneurial challenge is part of their academic assessment, where students are evaluated not by conventional exams but on practical venture development. They must identify a problem statement, create a business model around it, and validate their ideas through comprehensive market research and prototype testing.
A faculty member explained that projects are judged by industry experts and academics based on criteria like feasibility and scalability. Throughout multiple rounds of evaluation, teams refine their pitches and value propositions before presenting to mentors.
“Working on our start-ups has given us real-time exposure to genuine issues,” said Sanya Patel from one of the competing teams. “It’s training for entering the business world.” As these students prepare to pitch their ideas to seasoned evaluators, they gain invaluable insights into early-stage venture creation—skills vital for thriving in today’s competitive landscape.
