Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Ahmedabad organised the “Griha Lakshmi Swabhimaan Abhiyan” NGO Meet along with a Prerna Samman Ceremony on the occasion of International Women’s Day at Terapanth Bhavan on Saturday. Held under the guidance of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal (ABTMM), the programme brought together representatives from various social organisations working in the areas of women empowerment, education, healthcare and community development.
The initiative aimed to provide a platform for dialogue and collaboration among NGOs engaged in social service and women-centric initiatives. Discussions during the meet focused on strengthening partnerships and encouraging collective efforts to promote women’s self-reliance, leadership and participation in community development.
Ahmedabad Mayor Mrs. Pratibha Jain attended the programme as the chief guest and addressed the gathering. She highlighted the important role played by social organisations and women-led initiatives in addressing grassroots issues and contributing to inclusive social development. During the programme, individuals and organisations contributing to social welfare and community upliftment were recognised through the Prerna Samman Ceremony. Participation certificates were also presented to representatives of NGOs who took part in the meet. `
Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Ahmedabad functions under the guidance of Akhil Bharatiya Terapanth Mahila Mandal, a national organisation established in 1966 under the inspiration of Acharya Tulsi to promote the holistic development and empowerment of women through social, educational and community initiatives.
