GLS University on Saturday organised ‘Phenomenal Women: A Tribute to Womanhood’, a powerful awards event, to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD). The event, organized under the auspice of the Collegiate Women Development Committee (CWDC), honoured outstanding women achievers while reinforcing the theme ‘Give to Gain’ for this year’s IWD.
University executive director Dr. Chandni Kapadia graced the occasion alongside distinguished guests. Dr Kapadia said the event was guided by the vision of GLS University president Shri Sudhir Nanavati.
Dr. Kapadia said, “When women are given equal opportunity, they don’t just participate — they accelerate progress. Women support women, building empires. They are society’s architects; respecting them respects society itself.” She emphasized that women possess inherent power, so society must provide opportunities for them to lead.
The event concluded with S/He Fest where certificates given away to winners.
‘She Thrives: Feel to Heal’ programme held
Meanwhile, the Faculty of Management of GLS University hosted a programme titled ‘She Thrives: Feel to Heal’ for mental wellness of female faculty and staff on the eve of the IWD.
One expert conducted a mindfulness session with stress management tips, while another gave a talk on self-awareness and self-care for mental wellness.
Participants praised the inspiring sessions, highlighting the role of mental health in modern life. The event reflects the university’s commitment to holistic faculty support.
