Gandhinagar: The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation (GSRTC) is ramping up services for the upcoming festivals of Holi and Dhuleti. To ensure families can celebrate together, GSRTC will operate an impressive 1,300 extra buses this year, a significant increase from last year.
These additional buses will cover over 7,500 trips across the state. Key cities like Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Amreli, and Junagadh will see special arrangements to help passengers head towards destinations like Godhra and Dahod.
During Holi’s festivities, many devotees flock to Dakor for the Phooldol festival and to Dwarka for darshan. To cater to this influx, GSRTC has set aside 450 buses specifically for these routes. This fleet will manage around 3,500 trips aimed at ensuring smooth transportation for pilgrims visiting these popular sites.
The special services are scheduled to run from February 27 through March 5, 2026. Travelers looking to secure their seats can utilize the online booking options available on both the GSRTC website (www.gsrtc.in) and its mobile app.
For any questions regarding these additional services or travel plans during this busy period, citizens can reach out through a dedicated toll-free helpline at 1800 233 666666. Tickets and further information on these extra services will also be accessible at all GSRTC depots across Gujarat.
The corporation urges everyone to take full advantage of this expanded transport service while prioritizing safety during the festive season.
