After unexpected showers in parts of Dahod and Godhra, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted light rainfall in four districts of Gujarat over the next 24 hours.
According to the IMD, light rain and thunderstorms may occur at isolated places in Sabarkantha, Aravalli, Mahisagar and Dahod districts in eastern Gujarat.
Light showers were reported in Dahod and nearby rural areas such as Singvad, Limkheda, Chhapari, Raliyati, Jalat and Rabdal, as well as in Godhra of Panchmahal district. Cloudy conditions also continued in Ambaji in Banaskantha district. The sudden rain has raised concerns among farmers as standing crops could be affected during this period.
Meanwhile, minimum temperatures remained above normal in several parts of the state. Ahmedabad recorded a minimum temperature of 19.2°C, about 4°C above normal, while Deesa reported 17.3°C, around 4.1°C above average. Vadodara (19.4°C, +3.7°C) and Gandhinagar (18.5°C, +3.4°C) also saw warmer-than-usual nights.
In contrast, Rajkot (15.2°C), Porbandar (15.0°C) and Amreli (15.0°C) recorded slightly cooler nighttime temperatures.
