LJ University organised Innovation Village 2026, Gujarat’s largest fest for teenpreneurs and student-preneurs, featuring more than 400 innovations and start-ups developed by young minds.
Among the standout projects were “Aqua Scavenger,” a solution aimed at tackling water pollution; a spider robot equipped with a camera capable of moving across difficult terrain including staircases; and a web-based child adoption platform designed to make the adoption process more transparent and efficient.
The festival served as a dynamic platform connecting student innovators, start-up founders, industry leaders and academic experts. Over 1,400 students from six states participated in the event. More than 400 projects and start-ups were evaluated and mentored by over 100 industry and domain experts.
The exhibition included 44 artificial intelligence projects, 53 robotics projects, 30 start-ups and over 300 innovations from fields such as engineering, polytechnic, pharmacy, applied sciences and MCA. Dedicated galleries for AI, robotics and start-ups, along with funding opportunities for promising ideas, further strengthened the link between innovation and industry.
Chief Guest Sandeep Engineer, President of the Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) and Managing Director of Astral Pipes, appreciated the creativity and technical skills of the participants. He encouraged start-ups to build scalable, industry-ready solutions and assured continued mentorship and collaboration support from industry stakeholders.
