Water supply in more than 15 areas of Ahmedabad will be disrupted from the evening of February 10 to February 11 due to urgent maintenance work at the Kotarpur Water Treatment Plant, the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) said.
The plant will remain shut for about eight hours to carry out repairs, which will directly impact water distribution across several parts of the city. AMC officials said the water pressure in supply lines will drop after Tuesday’s morning supply, and residents may receive low-pressure water on the morning of February 11. Normal water supply is expected to resume later on Wednesday after the maintenance work is completed.
Areas in East Ahmedabad such as Naroda, Sardarnagar, Bapunagar, Thakkarbapanagar, Nikol and Narol will be affected, along with Odhav, Viratnagar, Saijpur, Shahibaug, Asarwa, Shahpur, Dariyapur, Jamalpur and Khadia in central parts of the city.
In North Ahmedabad, areas including Motera, Chandkheda, Sabarmati and Stadium may face low water pressure. The civic body has advised residents in the affected areas to store adequate water and use it judiciously until normal supply is restored.
