Metro services in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar will run late on selected days during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, when matches are held at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation (GMRC) announced that trains will operate until 12.30 am on match days — February 9, 11, 14, 18, 22 and 26, and possibly March 8 if the final is played in Ahmedabad — to help spectators return home after night matches.Extra late-night trains will run from Motera Stadium to APMC, Old High Court Interchange to Vastral Gam and Thaltej Gam, and additional services will connect Motera Stadium to Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar.Passengers traveling during the extended hours must use a special return paper ticket priced at ₹50, available in advance at selected metro stations. Regular tokens, smart cards, and QR tickets will be valid only until 10 pm on match days, after which entry at Motera Stadium and Sabarmati stations will be allowed only with the special ticket.
